McFadden cites Villivalam’s experience building coalitions and commitment to environmental justice
Chicago (Mayfair) - Today, Democratic Candidate for State Senate Ram Villivalam (IL-8) announced the endorsement of the Sierra Club Illinois Chapter.
"On behalf of Sierra Club Illinois Chapter's 100,000 members and supporters, I am proud to announce our endorsement of Ram Villivalam for State Senate in the 8th District," said Sierra Club Illinois Chapter Deputy Director Kady McFadden. "Ram has a track record of fighting for justice and building winning coalitions, and as a State Senator he will help secure clean water, environmental justice, and a 100% clean energy future that benefits us all."

Ram Villivalam most recently worked as Legislative Coordinator for SEIU Healthcare Illinois & Indiana, advocating on behalf of more than 90,000 Home Care Providers, Child Care Providers, Nursing Home Workers, Hospital Workers, and the people they provide care for.
